SHALOM MISHPACA

Our Motto is Yahuah, Family, and School in that order!
Before introducing you to our directors/ certified teachers, we want to honor our heads first.  Without the love and support of our loving, Yah fearing husbands Ibri Academy would not exist! Todah rabba to our husbands for loving their wives as Yahusha loves the Assembly.

Shalom! I am a mother of six and a lifelong student who believes in and lives by the authority of the Scriptures. All praises to the Most High!

I have over 17 years of experience in education. That experience includes teaching children, teaching adults how to teach children, language development, early childhood education, tutoring, test prep, lesson planning, homeschooling my own children, starting and managing homeschool co-ops, homeschool coaching, and writing curriculum. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders: Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Austin, then went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in the field of education from SWBTS, along with an Elementary Teacher Certification and Principal Certification from ACSI.

I thoroughly enjoy coffee, dark chocolate, word games, learning languages, and Mexican food.

Education is my passion and I am grateful to be able to use that to empower others.
I am grateful to be Co-Director and Co-Founder of Ibri Academy! HalleluYah!

Director/ Teacher (6-HS)

Shalom and barukot! I am originally from New Orleans, LA and have lived in the Austin area for over 15 years! My teaching career began 13 years ago as a substitute teacher in Austin ISD.  It was then that Yah confirmed my calling to teach middle school children. I have a Bachelor's in Political Science from Dillard University, teacher certifications from Huston-Tillotson University, and a Master's in Educational Administration with a Principal Certification from Concordia University.

I taught public school in both Austin and Pflugerville ISDs from 2009-2016 and held positions as a Special Education Department Chair and Reading Specialist.  It was in 2016 when Yah told me to start my own school with a curriculum that was Torah centered.  I immediately started homeschooling my children in 2016, and I love every minute of it!
